Wingate/Campbell House
1850: Italianate.
Wingate was a manufacturer of blinds, sashes and doors in 1870. The house was acquired in 1881 by G.R. Campbell who owned Cherryfield's largest lumber manufacturing and mercantile firm. |

To transport its own products, Campbell’s firm built at least three ships in shipyards south of the historic district on the eastern side of the Narraguagus River.
